Access to QUT systems after graduating

On this page

Most QUT access including room access and library borrowing finishes immediately after completing your studies.

Your completion date will be:

Undergraduate and postgraduate (coursework) students
the day you graduate or have your degree conferred.
Research students
on submission of your thesis or final project.

Accessing online services for graduates

As a graduate you'll receive access to our range of services for alumni. You can continue using your QUT username and password to access these.

Your username is the letter ‘n' plus your student ID, for example n12345678.

If you forget your password you can recover it online.

If you won't be accessing your QUT account regularly, we recommend redirecting emails to a personal account so you don't miss any messages.

HDR students

After you've graduated as a research student you'll keep access to your '@hdr.qut.edu.au' email account, but the email address will change to an '@connect.qut.edu.au' format.

File storage

Your access to QUT file storage including OneDrive finishes shortly after you graduate. Make sure you copy any files you need to an external location.

Graduates have free access to a subset of the Library databases.
