As a graduate you can continue using your QUT username and password to receive access to our range of services for alumni.

Most QUT access, including room access, library borrowing and QUT file storage (including QUT OneDrive), finishes immediately after completing your studies.

Your completion date will be:

Undergraduate and postgraduate (coursework) students
the day you graduate or have your degree conferred.
Research students
on submission of your thesis or final project.

Your alumni username and password

QUT has recently taken measures to keep alumni accounts secure.

Alumni accounts with no log-in activity or password reset between 1 July 2023 and 1 August 2024 have been disabled, and will require reactivation to regain access.

To reactivate your account please contact HiQ via chat, phone, or email.

As a graduate you can continue using your QUT username and password to receive access to our range of services for alumni.

Your username is the letter 'n' plus your student ID, for example n12345678.

If you forget your password you can recover it online.

Email

Student alumni retain their QUT '@connect.qut.edu.au' email accounts for life. Use your QUT username and password to log in.

HDR students

After you've graduated as a research student you'll keep access to your '@hdr.qut.edu.au' email account, but the email address will change to an '@connect.qut.edu.au' format.

Library

Student alumni have free access to a subset of the Library databases.

Student alumni can borrow books from the Library, free of charge, with an alumni borrowing card.

Canvas and eStudent

Student alumni retain access to their completed units on Canvas for two years, however some units may be made unavailable earlier by the Unit Coordinator.

Student alumni retain access to eStudent.

Printing and Wi-Fi acess

Access to on-campus printing and student Wi-Fi generally finishes when you complete your course.

During the period your QUT ID is valid you can continue using a personal device to print using student printers on campus.

You can still access QUT's free public Wi-Fi on campus.

Keeping the QUT app active on your mobile is a great way to stay across everything that's available to you as a member of our alumni community. Log in with your QUT username and password.
