    Last day to lodge credit (advanced standing) application for September conferral. 
  • Graduation - September conferral

    Last day to apply to exit early from your current course. Apply to Graduate Early with an Approved Exit Course (Early exit request). Applications are subject to faculty approval.
  • Graduation - September conferral

    Friday 21 August 2026
    Last day to lodge cross-institutional results to be eligible for September conferral.
  • Graduation - September conferral

    Wednesday 09 September 2026
    Final date to clear sanctions (e.g. outstanding fees, library fines and student loans) to be included in September conferral. 
  • Graduation - September conferral

    Friday 11 September 2026
    Final date for students to submit change of name via HiQ account and request for cultural variation via online form. Final date to amend personal details including mailing address, phone, and email contacts via HiQ account. 
    Cut-off submission of TPA forms for parchment collection
  • Graduation - September conferral

    Monday 14 September 2026
    Course requirements cut off - students must be course complete by 4pm on this date to be eligible for September Conferral
  • Graduation - September conferral

    Digital certified copy of Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement (AHEGS) will be available online through My eQuals within 5 working days.

  • Graduation - End of Year Ceremonies

    Tuesday 13 October 2026
    Registration opens for End of Year ceremonies. Invitations will be progressively emailed to current graduands as they become course complete.

    HDR candidates must submit their final thesis requirements by this date to be eligible for December ceremonies.

    Doctoral students must complete course requirements by this date to be invited to attend the December ceremonies.

    Graduation registration cut off for all students - Midday deadline (12.00pm) 
  • Graduation - End of Year Ceremonies

    Final date to submit formal name change and amend personal details (mailing address, phone number, email address) via HiQ account.
    Final date to submit cultural name variation requests via online form.
    Forms received after this date may not be reflected in the online graduation program or on graduation parchments.
  • Graduation - End of Year Ceremonies

    Tuesday 01 December 2026
    Final date to arrange TPA (Third Party Authorisation) collection of your parchment after completion of ceremonies. You must submit the TPA form, and you must also email askqut@qut.edu.au with the subject ‘Parchment collection’ requesting that your parchment be collected by the third party. Parchment collection is only available the week after the graduation ceremonies from HiQ Kelvin Grove.

    You must complete course requirements by Midday (12.00pm) on this date to be eligible and invited to attend the December ceremonies.

    End of Year ceremonies to be conducted

Ceremony schedule

If you complete your course after the cut-off date but are still eligible to graduate, you'll be included in either the March or September conferral round. These are non-ceremony rounds, which means you'll receive your parchment by mail and be invited to attend a future ceremony.

End-of-year ceremonies

End-of-year ceremonies will be held from Monday 7 December to Thursday 17 December 2026 at The Star Brisbane Event Centre (subject to change).

Further details about the ceremony schedule will be available in mid-September 2026.

Registration for the end-of-year ceremonies will open on Tuesday 13 October at 10am.

Mid-year ceremonies

Mid-year ceremonies will be held from Wednesday 28 July to Tuesday 3 August 2027 at The Star Brisbane Event Centre (subject to change).

Further details about the ceremony schedule will be available in mid-April 2027.

Live streaming

All graduation ceremonies will be live streamed for the benefit of family members or friends who are unable to attend the ceremony.

This stream can be viewed from Windows and Mac OS X computers, Apple iOS and Android mobile devices. Streaming video can be data-intensive - be aware of your mobile plan's 3G/4G data limits.

No permanent recording will be kept by or used for any other purpose by the University.
