Mathematics underpins all fields of engineering including signal analysis, telecommunications and circuit design, vibration mode analysis, automation and control, process control. This unit will introduce you to foundational mathematical techniques relevant to several Engineering majors (Electrical, Mechanical, Medical Engineering, and Chemical and Sustainable Process), building on your mathematical knowledge and skills developed in MZB127 Engineering Mathematics and Statistics. Throughout the unit, you will be introduced to new mathematical concepts and methods in integral transforms, differential and integral calculus, linear algebra and differential equations essential to the remaining parts of your Engineering degree.
