In this third part of the project, you will continue from parts 1 and 2 to complete implementation, deploy and test your project. The project will be completed in the same team and industry client that you had in parts 1 and 2.

Learning Approaches

This unit is designed for asynchronous online study, with activities including numerous short videos, podcasts and exercises carefully chosen to reinforce key skills and concepts. Students will have the opportunity to participate in online discussions with peers and teaching staff.

There will be regular meetings with your project supervisor(s)(tutor / tutor + any industry supervisor). This is to ensure that you progress in an expected manner and to give you an opportunity to discuss any problems you may have encountered. Feedback and further actions and recommendations will be provided to you during these regular meetings. The optional virtual drop-in sessions are available to students for direct consultation with the unit coordinator by appointment.

Embedded support for learning has been integrated into this unit by providing continual opportunities for formative feedback in workshops, mentoring meetings and through assessment is an integral part of this learning experience. As a 12 CP unit you can expect to spend between 10 - 15 hours per week undertaking your industry project, conducting independent research, attending class and mentoring meetings.

Feedback on Learning and Assessment

This unit provides you with multiple opportunities to receive feedback on your learning and assessment. This includes:

  • Teaching team feedback: The teaching staff will provide advice and assistance during class and project meetings. Formal feedback in the form of a rubric and personalised written feedback will be provided on all assessment tasks.

  • Academic mentor: Regular 1:1 or small group meetings with your academic mentor.

It also includes providing fraudulent or altered documentation in support of an academic concession application, for example an assignment extension or a deferred exam.

You are encouraged to make use of QUT’s learning support services, resources and tools to assure the academic integrity of your assessment. This includes the use of text matching software that may be available to assist with self-assessing your academic integrity as part of the assessment submission process.
