Assessment Tasks

Assessment: Creative Industries Report

You will take on the role of writing a report for an association representing creative professionals. The association is for a creative industries sector that is aligned to your Study Area A (first major). This association wants an overview of their area within the creative industries sector, alongside evidence of the key issues and trends in their sector. Your report will discuss the sector broadly, including the key goods, services, stakeholders, and how it contributes locally and globally to the creative industries and creative economy. To inform your report, you will conduct research into creative industries literature and relevant contemporary social/political/environmental policy/literature. You will analyse the literature to identify key issues and/or trends for the creative sector; and creative entrepreneurship occurring in the industry. Your report will discuss the trends and entrepreneurship you found, and the literature you reviewed. Your report will conclude with recommendations of how the association can support creative professionals in the sector who are faced with these issues and/or trends.
