Overview
- Complete in one semester full-time.
- Pathway to undergraduate programs that have an IELTS requirement of 6.5 for entry.
- Complete one faculty unit that count towards your chosen QUT bachelor program.
- This program is designed for students to improve their English to meet the language requirements to enter a QUT bachelor degree with an IELTS 6.5 entry requirement.
- This program includes intensive preparation in academic language, lateral thinking and research and presentation skills.
- Students may apply for advanced standing for the degree unit when articulating to their degree program.
- This program is also available as a pathway for students who achieve 50- 64% in the EAP for degree or EAP Plus program
Note: This pathway (QC05) is for undergraduate students only. Students who wish to progress into a QUT postgraduate program may take the University Certificate in Tertiary Preparation for Postgraduate Studies (QC06).
Course completion
Students must obtain at least a grade of 4 (Pass) in all units.
Progression
In order to progress to an award course, students must:
- fulfil the University Certificate in Tertiary Preparation for Undergraduate Studies course requirements;
- gain a minimum grade of 4 (Pass) in Communication 2 or an IELTS 6.5 or equivalent;
- meet any other conditions detailed in the 'letter of offer' from Student Business Services.
