Modes of study
- You will be required to participate in group project-based learning or work integrated learning, which may be conducted off campus.
- You may be required to apply for a Blue Card where project activity involves working with children.
- Some units will require completion of specific Health and Safety Inductions before you will be able to undertake activities in workshops and performance facilities or use specialist equipment. See the CI Health and Safety Blackboard site.
Study overseas
Study overseas while gaining credit towards your QUT degree with one of our worldwide exchange partners. With appropriate unit selection, students may be able to exit early with either component single degree.
Pathways to further study
On successful completion of this course, you will be eligible to apply for entry into the Bachelor of Business (Honours), Master of Teaching (Secondary) or Master of Philosophy, provided you meet the entry requirements.
Professional recognition
Business component: Students may be eligible for membership to a number of professional bodies depending on choice of major and unit selection. Details on professional recognition can be found under the individual majors of the Bachelor of Business (BS05).
Course Structures
In order to complete this course, you must complete a total of 384 credit points comprising 192 credit points from the Bachelor of Business and 192 credit points from the Bachelor of Fine Arts. You will undertake the two components of the double degree concurrently.
Business component
The business component is made up of 96 credit points of Business School core units and 96 credit points of units from a business major. The business majors are accounting, advertising, economics, finance, financial planning, human resource management, international business, management, marketing, public relations. Accounting students will complete 10 major units and six Business School core units in order to meet professional recognition requirements.
Fine Arts component
You will complete two common units (24 credit points) and a Fine Arts major (168 credit points) in Animation.
