Course Structures
In order to complete this course, you must complete a total of 528 credit points comprising 180 credit points from the Bachelor of Creative Arts, 324 credit points from the Bachelor of Laws (Honours), and 24 credit points of QUT You. You will study Creative arts, law and QUT You units in your first four years and for the remainder of this course you will concentrate on law studies.
Creative Arts Component:
You will complete six common units (72 credit points) and a Creative Arts major (96 credit points) from one of the following disciplines (Animation; Visual Arts; Creative Writing; Drama; Film and Screen; and Music). You will also choose one Creative Arts elective unit (12 credit points).
Law Component:
To meet the requirements of the Bachelor of Laws (Honours) component of the double degree, you must complete a total of 324 credit points comprising:
- Twenty core units – 240 credit points
- Two Advanced law electives - 24 credit points
- A law minor (48cp) and one unit (12cp) of law / general electives OR two law electives (24cp) and three law / general electives (36cp) – 60 credit points
Successful completion of a law minor will be recognised on the Academic Record and the Australian Education Graduation Statement.
