Work integrated learning
Work Integrated Learning (WIL) is embedded in the curriculum and is a core component for all Architectural Design students.
Complete 100 hours or the equivalent of 15 days of work placement as part of your course in third year and gain the skills and experience you need to step confidently into your future career. To complete your double degree within the standard timeframe (4.5 years for full-time), it is recommended to follow the provided study plan as not all units are offered every semester. This will ensure that you satisfy all prerequisites where applicable.
Course Structures
The Bachelor of Architectural Design/Bachelor of Property Economics is an undergraduate double degree consisting of 432 credit points and is normally completed in four and a half years of full-time study or the equivalent part-time study.
Students are required to complete 228 credit points from the Bachelor of Architectural Design component, 180 credit points from the Bachelor of Property Economics component and 24 credit points of QUT You. The structure of the Architectural Design component consists of 216 credit points of core units and 12 credit points of option units. The structure of the Bachelor of Property component consists of 48 credit points of core units and 132 credit points of a major.
