Overview
The Diploma in Health Science (Nursing) is a pathway into QUT’s Bachelor of Nursing.
- Develop advanced English language skills (from Semester 1 2021, entry into the Bachelor of Nursing will require an overall score of IELTS 7)
- Option to complete an Advanced IELTS program and testing
- On completion with the required results, receive a guaranteed place in your chosen degree with advanced standing
- Study first year academic content
- Receive additional academic and language support providing a smooth transition into faculty.
- With small classes and more contact hours, benefit from an interactive learning environment
- Study on campus as a QUT student with access to services and facilities across the University
Progression
To progress into the Bachelor of Nursing program you will need to:
- Successfully complete your diploma with a minimum GPA of at least 4.00
- Obtain a minimum grade of 4 in Academic Communication 2 and Communication for the Health Professions.
- Obtain an overall IELTS score of 7 and a minimum score of 7 in each of the four components for entry into NS42 Semester 1 2021 onwards
Course progression and advanced standing:
You are eligible for 84 credit points (7 units) of advanced standing into the Bachelor of Nursing
February entry - 5 semesters to complete (includes 1 summer semester)
July entry - 4 semesters to complete (includes 1 summer semester)
