Course Structures
To meet the course requirements of the Bachelor of Data Science, you must complete a total of 288 credit points.
For students who commenced in 2024 and 2025, the degree is arranged as follows:
- Core discipline units - 180 credit points
- QUT You - 24 credit points
- Complementary studies - 84 credit points, made up of:
- one minor (48 credit points), plus
- 36 credit points of option units.
For students who commenced the course prior to 2024, the degree is arranged as follows:
- Core discipline units - 192 credit points
- Complementary studies - 96 credit points, made up of:
- two minors (48 credit points each)
For Work Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities, SCB300 Professional Practice unit is available for selection. Save an elective to ensure study plan scope (SCB300 is available for selection in the complementary studies - unit options).
