IMPORTANT ENROLMENT INFORMATION
Changes to the Human Resource Management Major, Second Major, Minors and Extensions were implemented in Semester 1, 2019. If you began your degree prior to this date and have any study plan queries, please contact the QUT Business School Student Support Team or HiQ: askqut@qut.edu.au
Importance of planning your studies in advance
It is important that students in their second year of study plan out the remainder of their degree including their elective/minor/extension options. This ensures that students complete units in the correct order and minimises disruptions to their study program. Please note, there may be requisite requirements for second areas of study as well as primary majors, and these are listed in the unit information below. The QUT Business School Student Support Team or HiQ can check study plans for accuracy to ensure students successfully meet the requirements of the Management or HRM major degree program and graduate as planned.
Please note: Many units will be offered only once a year so it’s important to seek assistance to work out your study plan if you are having difficulty.
Second areas of study
The Bachelor of Business degree consists of 288 credit points. Depending on your desired career path after graduation, you may select either a second major or minors from across the University or QUT Business School offerings as your second area of study (please refer to the Unit Lists below).
Additional instructions for second majors and minors
In some cases, a particular unit may be duplicated across the major and second areas of study – Please contact the QUT Business School Student Support Team or HiQ for any study plan discrepancies you may come across.
