Professional recognition
The Bachelor of Built Environment (Honours) (Construction Management and Quantity Surveying) course has received provisional accreditation by the Australian Institute of Building and the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors, and has full accreditation with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Work integrated learning
Work Integrated Learning (WIL) is embedded in the curriculum and is a core component for all for all Construction Management and Quantity Surveying students.
WIL allows you to graduate with a portfolio of professional skills that provides evidence of your professional competencies. You are required to undertake 30 days (225 hours) of approved work experience within your major in the construction management and quantity surveying environment as part of your Work Integrated Learning. Study Area Description
The Property Development minor provides Urban Development students with a more in-depth understanding of the role property plays in the development of the built environment. The units explore the interrelationship between property finance, valuation and market analysis in the property development process. This minor will complement the knowledge and skills developed in your Urban Development Study Area A by demonstrating the link between property development and planning, construction management and quantity surveying and cost engineering.

Study Area Description
The Property Investment and Finance minor introduces students to the issues and processes involved in the financing and investment potential of property from both an individual and portfolio perspective. This minor will complement the knowledge and skills developed in the Urban Development discipline primary majors by demonstrating the link between property finance and investment and planning, construction management and quantity surveying and cost engineering.
